My son dropped the Mi Pad on the floor causing the touch screen cracked…Since the Pad screen still working, we can confirmed only the touch screen problem…
Steps to dismantle the Mi Pad can be found on my previous post “Fix Mi Pad 1 Not Charging“, but this time we need to remove everything, left back the frame and the screen. For part replacements, there is touch panel only and touch panel with display together. I’ve tried using hair dryer to separate the screen from the frame but no use, ends up the display back coating worn out…If u do not have the industrial equipment or experience, suggest u to get the touch panel+display part and change one shot.
U still can view the pad with cracked touch panel, but the fragment materials might injure u, it seems like some sort of plastic+glass material…
